3 Tips For Selling Your Pre-Loved Clothes Online

If you have lots of clothes that you’ve only worn a few times or that you’ve cared for very well and know that other people could get some use out of, selling those clothes online is a great way to help these pieces of clothing find a new home and make some money in the process. However, in order to do this, you’ll want to make sure that you go about this process strategically so that you’re selling to the right people and making the most money possible off of every transaction.

To help you in doing this, here are three tips for selling your pre-loved clothes online.

Get The Photos Right

When you post clothes for sale online, be it on a website or on a reselling app, the first thing that anyone is going to see are the photos. Knowing this, you’ll want to make sure that you get great pictures of every article of clothing that you post for sale online.

To do this, you’ll want to have photos of both the clothes themselves and of the clothes on a person’s body. Oftentimes, people can better know how something is going to look or fit on them when they’re able to see the clothes on another person’s body. And for each photo that you take, make sure you have a neutral background and that you have great natural lighting.

Use Keywords In Your Descriptions

Once you have all of the photos of the clothes, including details that people might like to see, you should then move on to posting the description of the clothing.

While every article that you post to sell online should have the size of the clothes from all dimensions, you should also think about how the words that you choose to use in the description could also attract certain people to the clothing. For example, you should use descriptive words about where someone might wear these clothes or the era that they appear to be from if that’s a selling point of the clothing.

Figure Out The Shipping

When someone makes an offer on the clothes that you have for sale, you then have to figure out how you’re going to ship the articles to the buyer.

For large retailers, trucking services can get larger quantities of clothing from point A to point B. But for those selling individual articles of clothing, you’ll want to look for flat rate boxes or poly mailers that will fit the clothes you’re shipping without costing too much in the process. This way, you can have the biggest possible profit off of the clothes you’re reselling online.

If you want to sell some of your clothes to others online, consider using the tips mentioned above to help you do this successfully.
